Junior Research Fellowship in Religion and the Frontier Challenges - Pembroke College-Oxford

Pembroke College wishes to appoint two Junior Research Fellows working within the remit of the proposed ‘Religion and the Frontier Challenges’ research programme. This programme is an interdisciplinary initiative, with its disciplinary centre in Theology and Religious Studies but actively engaging with other academic disciplines. It seeks to stimulate active consideration of the responses and contributions of religious traditions to meeting the major intellectual, moral, social and scientific challenges of the contemporary world.

The fellowships are open to applicants of any nationality and from any academic discipline, and will be tenable for three years from 1 September 2019. The fellows will be expected to conduct an original research project of their own design that engages the overall aims of the research programme and that will contribute to building the programme more widely. The stipend for the role is £30,000 per annum and accommodation may be available in college for the successful candidates. Benefits include a research allowance of £1,545 per annum (at the discretion of the college), a shared office, and all lunches and dinners when the college kitchens are open.
