The Faculty of Theology & Religion at Oxford produces top tier research across a broad range of sub-disciplines. Alongside traditional strengths in the theology, texts, and history of Christianity, the Faculty’s research engages with global religious traditions and anthropological, sociological and comparative methods. Our research crosses disciplinary boundaries and collaborates with more than five Research Centres and six of the University’s permanent private halls. Research from the Faculty impacts real religious communities, government policies, and practical professions year after year.
