Sociable and supportive community

Graduate study can be an isolating experience, which is why we have worked extremely hard to develop a sociable and supportive graduate community. It is something we are particularly proud of.  

As a student you will have regular opportunities to network and socialise with the faculty, your fellow students and their families. You will be part of a seminar group, which will allow you to share aspects of your work with your peers and is a place for stimulating debate. The weekly graduate café, regular socials and termly lunches offer an opportunity for our community to come together in a more relaxed and informal setting.

Academic support

We actively encourage a high level of interaction between our students and our senior staff and faculty. We have a large faculty of over 80 academics, including nine senior professors, who are international figures and leaders in their fields of study. Resources

Our commitment to our students encourages productivity and leads to some quite incredible achievements. We actively seek out opportunities for our graduates and have funding available for travel and research as well as for scholarships.

Oxford Graduate Theology Society & Journal

The Journal of the Oxford Graduate Theological Society (JOGTS) is a peer-reviewed, academic journal publishing scholarly articles in the field of theology and religion. It is run by a team of graduate students from within the faculty and all are welcome to get involved
