If you would like to bring a group to visit the Faculty, please contact us at access.undergraduate@theology.ox.ac.uk.

Visits may be arranged subject to availability, capacity and timing.

Potentially, we are able to deliver, for example:

  • a presentation/Q&A on the course or subject (appropriate to age/key stage); and/or
  • a presentation on admissions, especially for prospective applicants (normally Y12); and/or
  • a subject taster academic session.

If you have a specific focus or purpose for your visit, or any special requirements, please let us know. We may be able to work with you to design a visit for your group.

Please note that the Faculty is able to offer only very limited refreshment to visitors and we have no parking facilities. Teachers are encouraged to contact their link College, who may be able to support full visit with more facilities.

If you are arranging a visit to your link College or any other college or department, please let that college or department know about any interest you have in Theology and Religion; the faculty can work others to provide academic content during your trip.

Remember that groups and individuals are welcome to visit the Faculty on University Open Days without booking in advance.

If you would like someone from the Faculty of Theology and Religion to visit your school, please contact us at access.undergraduate@theology.ox.ac.uk.

Visits may be arranged subject to availability, timing and location. The Faculty has limited funds available to support visits to UK state schools. Please note that, regrettably, visits outside the UK mainland are unlikely to be possible.

Potentially, we are able to deliver, for example:

  • a presentation/Q&A on the course or subject (appropriate to age/key stage); and/or
  • a presentation on admissions, especially for prospective applicants (normally Y12); and/or
  • a subject taster academic session.

If you have a specific focus or interest, or any special requirements, please let us know. We may be able to work with you to design a visit for your school.

If so, the Faculty may be able to supply resources relevant to Theology and Religion, for example a 'Treasure Hunt' worksheet for Theology and Religion treasures in the Ashmolean Museum.

Please contact access.undergraduate@theology.ox.ac.uk for further information.

We are pleased to promote the opportunities available in Colleges which may be of interest to teachers and school groups.

Bodleian Libraries CPD events for secondary school teaching staff in Oxfordshire.

The programme created by Jonny Tridgell will focus on giving secondary school teachers knowledge around digital citizenship and how this relates to teaching in schools. By the end of the series participants will understand the challenges and affordances that come from digitalisation and what is meant by digital citizenship. Participants will also be able to learn how to weave this knowledge into their curriculum.
The series of sessions are taking place on Thursdays from 4:30 - 6.45pm 20th March and 3rd July at the Weston Library, Broad Street Oxford.

See Building Digital Citizens | Digital Scholarship @Oxford for further information and to register for this programme complete the registration form.
