Biography:
I grew up in Gloucestershire and first came to Oxford to read a BA in Philosophy and Theology (2008) and an MSt in Jewish Studies (2009) at Oriel College, Oxford. My PhD dissertation, entitled “Attitudes towards Linguistic Diversity in the Hebrew Bible” (Harvard University, 2015), was supervised by Peter Machinist. I subsequently held a postdoctoral research fellowship in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Exegesis at the Department of Theology of Uppsala University, Sweden (2016-2018). I have also worked as an academic translator and editor.
